Dr. Aaron McDaniel:

Dr. McDaniel began his medical training at the University of Southern California School of Medicine in Los Angeles, CA. He received his postgraduate training in psychiatry at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, NY. During his four years at Beth Israel, Dr. McDaniel was very involved in patient care and provided supervision and clinical teaching to other psychiatric residents, clinical psychology trainees, and medical students. He also gave several talks on various topics including ADHD and was part of a co-panel presentation with Harvard University on the use of video supervision in the teaching of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the 37th Annual Meeting of the American Association of Psychiatric Residency Training (AAPRT). Dr. McDaniel was later appointed Chief Resident due to his many efforts and received the prestigious "Chairman's Award for Resident of the Year" during his final year of training.

After residency, Dr. McDaniel joined a private group practice in the New England area where he was on staff at several hospitals providing inpatient psychiatric treatment and consultations on the medical and surgical units. He then worked as a staff psychiatrist on the adult units at Four Winds Hospital in Katonah, NY where he was in charge of a multidisciplinary team including clinical psychologists, social workers, and registered nurses and provided academic teaching to rotating medical students from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine. He was also later appointed Medical Director at Supervised Lifestyles- a private residential facility in Brewster, NY that specialized in providing comprehensive care for adults suffering with depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and other mental health issues.

Dr. McDaniel is the founder of New York Metropolitan Psychiatry, PLLC and provides psychiatric evaluations, consultations, medication management, and psychotherapy at his private office located in Mount Kisco, NY. He currently resides in Westchester County with his family and labrador retriever and is an active member of various organizations including the American Psychiatric Association.
