Telemedicine (i.e Skype and FaceTime)
Telemedicine is a trend that spilled over into the mainstream in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and will likely have staying power in the years to come. If you have a web-connected computer, you are encouraged to meet with our psychotherapist through a video conferencing technology such as Skype or FaceTime. Telemedicine provides a direct means of interacting in real-time with our psychiatrist. Meet with our psychiatrist through Skype or FaceTime and you can partake in a therapy session, undergo a psychiatric evaluation and obtain an analysis of your medication.
Telepsychiatry provided by New York Metropolitan Psychiatry provides patients with essential mental health guidance through the latest technology. Whether you do not have the ability to commute to our office, cannot physically commute to our office, are disabled or simply prefer a video meeting, you will find our telepsychiatry sessions quite helpful. This is an opportunity to talk with a mental health specialist from the comfort of home in real-time without communication delays or worries about social distancing or other potential problems.
